Game Ideas - Unexpectedly Opposite

Idea 1

"Functional alcoholism"

Functional alcoholism, is an endless runner/quiz game where you play as a mathematician who is struggling to complete his research and must walk home after a night at his favorite establishment. The player will be given simple maths problems to solve and multiple answers to choose from, the player must select the incorrect answers.

The player must steer the mathematician down an endless street, away from any obstacles and towards public signs which he hallucinates as the answers to the problems. (for example the sign for a pharmacy might now read "2x = y" in the same font)

For the  player,  the game would employ the use of both hand-eye coordination, and problem solving skills simultaneously, forcing the player to juggle between the two, like many endless runners and quiz games, it would gradually increase in difficulty as you progress.

Due to the themes, it would have to be marketed towards adults, though the problems would be challenging enough that a young person would likely have some difficulty, so the demographic of young adults would be consistent across all facets of gameplay.

The goal for the prototype would be to have the endless running, steering and maths mechanics completed, with less focus on graphics or visual effects.

Various signs/advertisements would display the correct and incorrect answers as the player walks down the street, obstacles would force the player to move away from potentially "correct answers".

Idea 2:

"House Stripper"

House stripper is an isometric, town management game. In house stripper, you buy houses and then remove everything of value in order to turn a profit. Slowly making the town more dilapidated until there is nothing left but abandoned buildings, cracked roads and dead trees. Neglect your town, avoid all responsibility, and get rich fast!

Prototyping would focus on having a map with simple graphics, a simple economy with different resources and creating the mechanics for modifying the houses/property within the town

The game would be a fairly light experience, that would not require a large time invest per level, with potential to market on mobile platforms.
